If you are searching ‘Toronto Dental Implants’ on Google, there is a good chance that you are suffering from some sort of dental emergency. Though it is often considered as a drastic measure by patients, dentists turn to dental implants when there is irreparable damage to the tooth/teeth and gums.
Here are 5 dental emergencies that call for dental implants:
Personal injury
Accidents happen. Everyday, people get injured in road mishaps, pick up workplace injuries, etc. Post accidents, most of us seek immediate treatment for vital body parts but teeth are often neglected. Any person with a damaged tooth or severely injured gum will require high-quality Toronto dental implants.
Facial blunt force trauma
When a hard and heavy object hits one’s face at a great velocity, it can have a severe impact on their face. Any patient suffering from facial blunt force trauma needs cranial and dental inspections. Impacted teeth can crack and become dysfunctional, leaving dentists no choice but to opt for dental implants.
Unnatural dental growth
Wisdom tooth, butterfly dental patterns, and other unconventional oral growth on tooth and gums may threaten the strength and integrity of other teeth. If these unwanted dental structures are not extracted on time, they can cause loosening of gums and falling of other healthy teeth. In such cases, dental implants are the best option to restore the health of the teeth and gums.
Dental damage due to eating disorders
Eating disorders not just weaken your immune system but they also have a negative impact on dental health. Disorders like bulimia can corrode your teeth and gums due to excessive forceful vomiting. It makes sense to go for dental implants if your teeth are beyond repair due to eating disorders.
Chronic Gingivitis
Extreme gum-related ailments such as a severe case of gingivitis can be really painful and may lead to falling of teeth. While gingivitis is curable, dentists have to perform dental implants to rehabilitate the lost teeth.
